Most importantly, given that we are committed to high-quality, low cost IT solutions, we want to give you as much information as we can on our pricing. This includes our costs, what we are getting for this, how our prices are calculated and how any price reductions will be applied – yes, you read that right – reductions!

At My Web, our main priority is providing high-quality, low cost hosting services to our customers. This priority is something that all My Tech Group brands work towards in all that they do. We also try to be as transparent as possible with our customers, both existing and prospective, as to how we come up with our pricing.
How does it work?
For our web hosting in particular, we purchase a high-performance cloud hosting plan from Hostinger UK which provides us a dedicated server with the following specifications:
- Number of websites available: 300
- Storage: 250GB
- RAM: 6GB
- CPU: Quad Core
- Bandwidth: Unlimited
- Dedicated IP: Yes
Whenever we take on a new My Web customer, we host their site(s) on this server, providing them with access to these high-power resources. A fair-usage principle applies to this offering, meaning that all clients are able to utilise these resources freely, rather than being restricted to only a portion of them. If we do see that a specific client’s site(s) are using more resources than are expected, we look to move this client onto their own dedicated server as to avoid any performance impact for other clients.
As of 01/01/2023, the cost of this Hostinger plan is £359.88 (incl. VAT). We do host all of our own websites on this plan, which would cost us approximately £80 if we were to host separately, which means that for My Web to remain viable, we need to make at least £279.88 per year which allows us to cover our costs.
Unless our Hostinger plan increases in price, your hosting plans will not increase in price at all, not even by APR/RPI. This is part of My Tech’s commitment to high-quality, low-cost IT services. Unfortunately, upon renewal in November 2022, our plan did increase in cost quite significantly, which meant that customers did see a small price increase upon their 2022/23 renewals.
However, if you take out a web hosting plan with My Web, your monthly/annual price may decrease as time goes on. Yes, you read that right – decrease*.
How is this possible? As we mentioned above, we need to make £279.88 per-year to break even with our costs. As soon as we do this, with each new client that takes out a hosting plan with us, we divide a percentage of the profits amongst our clients and then apply this as a discount to future renewals (monthly) or provide partial refunds (annual plans)!
This model is our way of thanking our customers for being My Web customers and trusting us with your business. It also means that it is in everyone’s interests to help us grow and bring more clients into the My Web community.
We have also recently launched our referrals scheme which allows you to save even more money on your renewals, whilst also allowing My Web to grow its customer base. If you refer a customer to My Web (or any other My Tech Group brand), simply fill in our referrals form to receive a discount** on your next renewal or purchase at a My Tech Group brand!
*Please note that if My Web loses a client, and therefore revenue drops back below cost-price, customers hosting plans will increase in price back to their original agreed price. This means that if your plan was previously £5, but dropped down to £4.50, it would revert back to £5 – never a penny higher.
**Please note that the discount value will vary depending on the service(s) that are taken out by your referee. On average, this equates to approximately 10% of their first purchase.
